Bitdefender ranks number one AGAIN!
In the September issue of Consumer Reports, Bitdefender Antivirus has been given the highest rating for excellent virus detection at a low price. The test of twelve antivirus products included recognition of new and unknown viruses also known as heuristics. Bitdefender also scans Instant Messenger programs and periodical scans can be scheduled. Updates of virus signatures are retrieved automatically at a set interval.
Besides excellent virus detection and removal, Bitdefender was one of two that excelled in speed.
After Bitdefender was rated 'Best Buy' in PC World magazine last May, it was rated again in the July issue as being one of 'the one hundred best products of the year'.
Just after the top ranking in Consumer Reports, Bitdefender released it's newest version of it's popular stand-alone antivirus product, version 10. Besides an improved user-interface and scan-engine, it also features an anti-spyware module and system information.
A new corporate version of the award winning Bitdefender antivirus software is being worked on. A release date has not been set.
